About Sam

Sam Dickie burst onto the ultra running scene in 2019, making a remarkable debut by securing victories at the Edmonton River Valley Revenge and the Golden 120. However, it was his audacious feat of conquering the challenging 230km Icefields Parkway that truly showcased his endurance prowess. Sam's relentless drive continued as he consistently graced podiums in various races, leaving an indelible mark on the Canadian Rockies trail scene

2023

Year in Review

All in all- 2023 was a great year. I ended up setting two new FKTs in the Canadian Rockies and taking 2nd place in Canadas first 200 mile race - The Divide 200. Unfortunately I started the season off with an injury along my shin, and was unable to compete in the Quebec Mega Trail 100 mile in June. After a 2 month recovery, I squeezed in as much as I could within 7 weeks before the Divide 200. Below is a list w/ videos from the highlights of the year

2024

WHATS TO COME

As of right now, 2024 is looking like a training year to take on the Triple Crown of 200's in 2025. By doing this I will be competing in another 200 Miler (either Cocodona 250 or Moab 240) and at leat one other 100 mile to use as a prep race. On top of these races, I will also be going after more FKT's and new summits to prepare for the 2025 season. Below is a list of the projects and races coming in 2024

Moab 240 mile wont only be the furthest I've ever run (390km's) but also the most competitive race I've ever been in. Racing against some of the strongest 200 mile runners in the world.

After my attempt in 2023, I'll be returning for another attempt early July (Conditions dependent). knowing the route and the approach now sets me up well for my second attempt this year.

Orcas Island 100 Mile is a low priority training race for the Cocodona 250 Mile 2 months later. The goal of this race is to dial in nutrition and Aid Stations to be as efficient as possible

"He’s lying on the ground, motionless. He collapsed right after the finish line; which means he made it, he hit his goal. Proof that his body could travel the distance."
